Lunch notes

Tis that time again to send notes with the kids in their lunch boxes. I found another site and thought I would share. It's at http://alenkasprintables.com/lunchboxnotes.shtml

While looking at sites I found this blog. This girls husband makes her lunch and puts a note in it. He is a comic book artist. How cool is that. If you have time check it out. http://lunchnotes.blogspot.com/

First for everything

So this is going to be all jumbled but oh well...thats how my mind is some days ha ha. Luke's first day of Kindergarten was this morning. He was so excited, I can't wait to hear how it went. He is going to Mrs Hadfield. Andrew and Danika had her also. She is an amazing teacher. I love to volunteer in her classroom. She is very organized and the kids know whats expected of them. The summer after Andrew's kindergarten year she let me take home a ton of the little chapter books they had worked on home with me. I had just asked her where I could get some and she let me use them and bring them back after the summer. She is super nice. Man how did I get old enough to have three little ones in school????
Speaking of getting old, Kevin turned 33 yesterday. I have to show a picture of the cake because I was telling Mary about tootsie roll roses. They are super easy to make and I think they are pretty.
I love Jacob's puffy cheeks! My sisters came over to have cake and ice cream and were surprised that I had made it all from scratch. Right down to the coconut pecan frosting.

Now as for the glass. I didn't realize that we have had the curio since 2004 (found out from Fishers when I called) so I guess it's lasted quite awhile without something happening with little kids around. Just a sad sad sight though. How can I stay angry when afterwards I get this.
The kids felt really bad about it.

Take me out to the Ball Game!

We went to the Ogden Raptors Baseball game on Monday for our FHE activity. Our neighbor gave us some free tickets. The kids were into it until the fourth inning. They were getting a bit board. Thank goodness they have a playground there for the little ones. Sadly they lost to Billings but it was still fun. We also got to see Tommy Lasorda. Can't remember why they said he was there but that was pretty cool.

I can never get enough of this cheesy grin!
Cute boys

We had great seats
The playground.

Saying "hi" to the mascot. I kept saying "look at the alligator guys" to the kids whenever he would run on the field....Oops Raptor ha ha.

First Day of School 2010

I love this picture. I swear BriLynn can hear the camera a mile away. She is such a little cheeser. You can tell Andrew is really excited. After I took it I thought there was a big lump in his hair. I tried to fix but it looked fine. After looking at the picture harder, it's the doorknob in the background ha ha. So I got another picture....one without the lump on his head.

I'm surprised I rememberd to get pics of the kids this morning. I'm going to love school starting early. I got to the store by 8:30. Its so nice to shop then, there are not many people there. Here's to hoping they have a great year.

Family Reunion

This last weekend we went to the Argyle family reunion. The kids were so excited about camping. It got a bit cold but they all slept good.
It's crazy how things change. I remember going to family gatherings and playing with my cousins and now we are all grown with families of our own. We spent Saturday at Bear Lake. It was a wonderful day! Andrew was excited that he saw his first grade teacher Mrs. Shaw. She was there with her fiancé. She just got engaged the Monday before.

The nice warm summer days are almost over. I can really tell when I go walking in the morning, it's colder. The kids start school tomorrow. They are really excited....can't say that I am though.

Fun with friends

When Kevin and I first moved to Logan we met a group of families in our ward that had a child around the same time we did. We (the ladies) started a play group. Well since then we have a had a few move away and a few join. We got together for FHE. The ladies :) These girls crack me up. This is the group we do birthday lunches with. Since there are only five of us, we have wanted to create a few fake friends to go out more often he he.
The kid's tried to "pop" the pops ha ha. I made a funny haaa.
Looks like an accident waiting to happen. Thankfully no one got hurt.

It's amazing how many come and go in our lives. How grateful I am for friends!

Just funny

We put BriLynn in a toddler bed a couple months ago. Most nights when we check on them she is in Danika's bed. Poor Danika has been pushed to the edge so many nights. One night I went in there to see this. She had grabbed my eye cover that came with some of my pajamas. Completed the look ha ha. I'm glad that she has a little sister. Although we are already having issues with "Mom she is getting into my stuff!" I know I had tiffs with my sisters. It seems like once you leave home your appreciation for each other increases.

Summer fun

Our neighbor across the street has a pool in their backyard. They said the kids could come over whenever they wanted (as long as there is an adult present). They played for 2 1/2 hours. My favorite picture is of Luke jumping in. It's rare that you get the peak of the jump on camera. It's usually filled higher but it was wonderful that it wasn't. Jacob could still walk with his head out of the water.
Our kids go back to school the 18th. I'm sad that summer is almost over.
