What? Help!

Danika keeps asking me when school is going to start. WHAT? She is excited and counting down the days. I'm not ready to have them go! August is a day away ahhh, July went by fast. What age are they when they are sad that summer is over? On a side note... Help! My four year old likes to pick on my two year old. It's like his scream provides a great adrenaline rush for him. Please let me know I'm not the only one with a child like this. We try time outs, taking a mommy and daddy buck away (which by the way, this system of rewarding is turning out to be great!) He's sad for the moment but the next is doing everything possible to get a rise out of him again. I come from a family of seven kids. Two boy and five of us girls. The boys were the oldest, they are 12 and 15 years older than I. I didn't ever deal with a pesky brother. Have any of you? What did you do? What did your parents do? Any suggestions? Oh and beating is not an option, although I've had situations when spanking has come to mind.

YUCK

Mommies are not suppose to get sick! Thankfully Danika has been a big help but there's only so much an 8 year old can do. I think I'm on the mend, but let me just say I've learned a few things:
1. Trying to make lunch for kids and just spending your time by the sink throwing up is not fun!!!
2. An 8 year old feeding a 8 month old can get really messy.
3. The once cursed contraptions of TV, Game cube, and Computer games are now revered.
4. No matter how hard I think about it, the gardening, cleaning, laundry, and dishes will not get done.
5. Neighbors who bring over dinner to a family who otherwise would have had to fend for themselves is AWESOME!!! Bless you Shelly.
6. My floors are much dirtier close up.
7. This one shocked me. Ice cream doesn't always sound good.
8. My abs feel like I've been working them for two hours!
9. Not recommended but I'm sure I've lost five pounds!

Yo

Just thought I'd post a quick pic of Danika and Andrew. They did a lip sync at the ward campout. We had all planned on staying the night but some of the family got sick. Poor Kevin has had to take a couple days off work to recover. People have seriously asked me if he has the swine flu. I respond by "ha ha swine flu....good one." In all reality I guess it could be, he hasn't had a blood test to confirm or anything. I have heard that some members in our Ward have had it. Has swine flu hit home for any of you? Family? friends? This is July people....we shouldn't have any sickness during the summer right?

Have any of you encountered this problem? I feel like I'm on facebook more and more and less on blogger.

Swimming Lessons

The kids have started swimming lessons. Today was their first day and not only do they love it but, I LOVE IT! I told them they couldn't go unless their rooms were cleaned. I've never seen kids pick up their rooms so fast!
I hope you all had a great 4th of July Weekend. It's been tradition to go see the fireworks at the stadium. They had some glitches this year with the music but it was still great!
