Every time we have a new baby it's always a struggle to know when to move them out of our room. For me it's so convenient to have them right next to the bed. Kevin has pointed out that we both sleep better once they are in their own room. BriLynn turned two weeks on Tuesday so we moved her to the crib in Danika's room. I'm not sure I'm sleeping better but I do get colder since I have to get up and walk to the other room. She has been sleeping better, I think she has put her two four hour sleep stretches together so that's nice.
At what age do you move your babies out of your room? Or do you ever have them in your room?
Anyway, here is a cute picture of her in her crib.

I often feel as if I'm moving in slow motion. But there is so much to get
done in a full day. For me, one day ends up feeling like three separate
days. Gon...

My boys stayed in the bed with me up until I weaned them. Ethan moved out when he was 10 months and Dylan when he was 14 months.
It was so hard to get them to sleep in their own beds. I liked it much better when they are used to it.
Good for you. What a good Mommy!
I can't believe that you moved her out already!!!! I never move my kids out until they sleep through the night, which is usually about 2to 3 months old. I don't ever like to have them sleep with me. They are always in a crib. And our little crib can hold the baby until they sit up, then we move them to the big normal size crib. I don't think I could sleep with a 2 week old in another room, you are much braver than I. :]
Congratulations on the move! I've never had a set age when I moved my babies out of our bedroom. I usually did it when they were sleeping through the night. Our last one stayed in our room for almost six months, while our oldest was out by three weeks. I hope BriLynn stays sleeping well.
Olivia was in her crib in her own room from day 1 from the hospital. Alyson has been sleeping in our room ever since she got home for obvious reasons but it's always nice to have them into their own room! It's hard to know when to move them when they have to bunk up with a sibling and wonder if the baby will wake them up. I'm sure it will all go well!!!
BTW - she looks very cute in that bow!!! ;) She's a doll!
Bridget was in her own room in a crib from day one. That's the plan with #2 as well. ...Assuming we get the crib setup before he comes. LOL!
Anyway, I love all the girly accessories. Looks like you are enjoying having a girl again. :)
I would have liked to move Carlitos out of our room at about 3 months, but at the time we were living at my parents' house so we were all in the same room. And it was hell, because somewhere between 3 and 4 months he figured out that we were right there with him, and after just a few nights of sleeping through the night, he started getting up all hours of the night! So as soon as we moved into our apartment (Carlitos was 9 months old) he got his own room. After just a few nights he was sleeping 12 hours straight!
Congratulations, that is always so hard for me to send them out of my room. I too like the convenience of having them right there. I had a bassinet for Nate and Leah, and it was perfect. Leah was in my room til about 6 months, and then she went in with Abby. I was always afraid of one of them waking up the other. She is super cute!!
Funny you should mention moving babies to their own room. Preston has definitely been spoiled. We just barely moved him tonight, he is 7 months old! Wow, we have become softies. The longest any of the other boys made it was 3 months. I like them right next to me as well so I don't have to get out of bed to get them during the night.
She is such a cutie!! I didn't have a set time to move them either, but it was usually a couple of months. I always had them in one of the bassinets by the rocking chair in our room so it was easier to nurse them and put them back to bed. I am also paranoid so I was always afraid that I wouldn't hear them if they needed something in the night and they were in the other room. I'm not sure there is a best solution to this, just when you are ready. :)
Congratulations on your baby girl! I hadn't looked at your blog for a couple of weeks and all of the sudden she is here. She is so sweet. I hope she is doing well. By the way, we are having a boy!
She is sure a cutie! I saw your family picture on your christmas card at my mom's - what a cute family! BTW - I usually kept them in my room until they were at least 6 months if they were on the bottle - a year if they were nursing - due to my laziness and the convenience of it all! Have a great Christmas!
She's a doll! Andrew slept in a bassinet in our room until he was nearly too big to fit - I can't remember exactly when we moved him. Simon on the other hand, moved into his room a lot sooner. He hated the bassinet, and his swing, and his little rocking chair...so we eventually just put him in his bed. I guess it just depends on the kid.
