What are you doing?

My next post will be my 200th post wow! A couple times now the kids have just wanted to watch the washing machine do it's work. They play eye spy with the clothing they see (ex: that's Jacobs pajamas, that's Danika's shirt) It's funny to watch them get so excited about something so small. It makes me think that I take a lot of little things for granted. This next picture is the girlie's in their pj's. Today I took BriLynn to Danika's class. On my last day of Volunteering before I had BriLynn, her teacher told the class I would come back to show her to everyone. Danika was beaming as she told her class all about her sis. I was also there because I'm the box top coordinator for our school. I took prizes into the class's that brought in the most. So far we have earned a little over 1600 dollars from them. If any of you don't have kids yet in school and you wouldn't mind...send them my way.

The Good Ol' Shows

Recently Kevin and I have found that TV Land plays the Cosby show at nights. We love to watch it! It's so funny and CLEAN (which is rare these days). Did you watch the Bill Cosby show growing up?

Silly!

We went to a dance night at the kids elementary school last night. All the grades performed one or two dances. I didn't get any great pics of the kids but I did get some silly ones. I couldn't figure which camera setting to use to get them to lighten up but oh well. For a little boy who knows how to busta move he didn't do a whole lot he he. Sorry I didn't fix the red eye and so the girl with pigtails looks evil. BriLynn was so cute! I was bouncing her up and down with the music and she was all smiles!I just have to mention some silly happenings around the house. This is Danika's bobblehead portrayal of Abinadi being brought before King Noah.
Then the other day while Andrew and Luke were sword fighting I heard Luke say "you don't know the power of the dark side." It made me laugh.

Priceless

Four slabs of long cardboard: Free at Lowes
Packing tape: A couple dollars
Playing in a cardboard clubhouse that daddy built: Priceless.

Just on a side note. I went to the grocery store and the cashier asked me, "Has anyone ever told you that you look alot like Julia Roberts?"
WHAT? I was shocked and thought it was funny. I came home and asked Kevin if he thought Julia Roberts was cute he he. He said he had been told he looked like Prince William and John Elway from the Denver Broncos. Have you ever been told you look like someone?

Cookie Tradition

When I was growing up my Grandma Argyle would send us cookies for Valentines. I loved it, especially going off to college and getting a package of yummy sugar cookies. My Dad is somehow related to the maker of the "Granny B" cookies and I've been told that this is the recipe. Anyway, once you were married the cookies stop coming. :( Since my Grandma was getting a bit older I think it got to much for her and she quit doing it so I started up. I send them to all the (adult) single members in my immediate family. I also send them to the Missionaries in the ward. Of course I had to make Kevin his heart. So do you and your family have a Valentine tradition? What are your plans? I'm excited, my sisters (it's nice to have single sisters) are coming and staying the night with our kids Friday night. Of course we'll still have to take the baby...I'm still a milk maid (sigh). That's okay, they're only little once.

Watch me grow

I started taking pictures like this with Andrew. I take one every month for the first 6 months. It's amazing how much they grow in that amount of time. I know it's nothing fancy but when you put them all together on one page it's fun to see. I had to share this one because BriLynn is getting to the point where she will smile when you look at her. Sorry that it is sideways but I couldn't figure out how to rotate it. So just tip your head to the side he he.Side note: JOY is when you hear your three little boys playing with each other and laughing. PANIC: is checking up on them and realizing they are in your bathroom with the door locked. FEAR: is hearing your husbands electric razor turn on. RELIEF: is finding that none of them shaved their hair or eyebrows off.

Sleeping and Dancing

Poor Jacob doesn't get a good nap on Sundays. Today I forgot to put him down and he fell asleep right before dinner. This is a pic. of Kevin keeping his head up from falling into his food.
This made us laugh. It was right after Jacob woke up (we were trying to get another pic of him with his face falling in his food but he woke up). Note: Look at Andrew dancing in the background!

You may be wondering what he is eating? I had just found this cordon bleu appetizer recipe in my taste of home magazine and tried it, it was nummy and easy.

Here it is if your interested:
4 oz. cream cheese
1 tsp. Dijon mustard
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
3/4 cup fully cooked ham
1/2 cup minced chives, divided
French bread

In a small bowl beat cream cheese and mustard until smooth. Stir in Swiss cheese, ham and 1/4 cup chives. Spread over bread slices; place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes or until browned. Sprinkle with remaining chives. I didn't use any chives plus it was on regular bread and it was still great.
