SHE'S HERE!

After a push and a half we welcomed BriLynn Westwood into the world at 3:13. She was 7lbs 11oz. and 19 inches long. We had a hard time deciding how to spell the name. There was Brielynn, or Breelyn, or Brelynn etc.. you get the point. We like the way the capital L looks. Anyway I'm sure there will be more pictures to come. Oh I also wanted to share something I thought was interesting. As Kevin was in the Nursery, giving her a bath they discussed weird names that have come through. I thought he was joking but someone here actually named their baby Dragonslayer. Poor kid, my doctor said it was one of her patients that named their son Indiana...their last name is Jones. Another strange one was Abcde. I think it's suppose to be pronounced Ab-si-de. I find it interesting that parents can name their kids these names, don't you?

Yay! She is beautiful! (o: BriLynn is a cute name. As for weird names Casey is dead set that he will have a Montillius. He says we can call him Monty. Isn't that awful! (o: Haha. Well congratulations!

Congratulations. She is very cute. I have heard a lot of weird names too, and I can't believe that parents would do that to their kids. Oh well.. what can you do. I hope all goes well, I bet the kids will just adore her!!!

She's such a cutie! I love the smile on Danica's face - she's going to love having a baby sister:) About weird names - my friend's sister named her daughter Princess Fiona. No lie. Thank goodness people have the option to change their names!

Congratulations! I'm so glad everything went well for you. I prayed for you and thought about you all day. She is beautiful and looks just like the other kids. :) I like the name you picked too. It is very pretty. I also hope the recovery is good for you too. Sometimes people forget that that is just as hard/painful as the labor and delivery. I wish we were there to see you, bring you meals, and help take care of the other kids for a couple of days. There aren't a lot of people in our ward having babies... in fact I can't think of even one. Coming from Utah I'm definitely not used to that. Congrats again!

Congrates, she is very cute. You and Kevin do some good cooking. Leave it to you for blogging in the hospital--way to go. When things get hard, just remember that Heavenly Father will only give you the things which you are capable of handling. I am still trying to understand that concept myself. Love ya, Theresa

beautiful little BriLynn :) she's a cutie! congrats! one of my old mission companions told me that she and a friend used to go to football games and stuff and introduce her friend as Abcde (yup, Ab-si-de) and the guys would be like woahh cool how did you get that name, and they'd go on to explain that her parents were hippies... so when you said that someone actually HAS named their kid that, it gave me a good laugh

I'm so happy for you guys! Danika was so excited when you were at the hospital having her!
As for names, in high school I had two boy names and one girl name picked out--they were okay, but slightly different: Dominic, Chandler, and Kalia. It's interesting how things can change over time and when working together with a spouse to come up with names that both of us like.
Have a great thanksgiving!
