We had corn on the cob tonight and Danika doesn't have her top two front teeth so we had planned on cutting it off the cob. She insisted she could chew it on the side so she completely mangled the cob. Then, just a few minutes ago she came down and showed me a loose tooth so I told her to show Daddy so he could pull it (I can't do that, it just grosses me out) and so now I get to play tooth fairy tonight. My question is....how much do you give your kids (or how much were you given) for a tooth?
I made her put it in a plastic bag, man those teeth are tiny. I wouldn't be able to find it if she didn't. Oh, about the boy kissing, my Brother in Law told her that every time she kissed a boy she would loose a tooth. Well this is number four....I better keep my eye on her.
Oh on another note: Tina told me that the Twilight Movie release date changed. It's now November 21st (for those who didn't know). Hopefully I won't go into labor early, or maybe watching it will put me into labor Ha Ha Ha.
AUGUST 27, 2013or14?

I often feel as if I'm moving in slow motion. But there is so much to get
done in a full day. For me, one day ends up feeling like three separate
days. Gon...

I always got a quarter for my teeth, but Nick got a dollar. So, our kids get a dollar. And I always put their teeth in a baggie too. Oh, and then I go and put a dollar on MY pillow right away, so that I'll remember before I go to bed. :)
I think I usually got a dollar, though I do remember one time I got this little bunny figurine (it was probably a little Easter decoration), and boy was that a treasure for me! I kept it for a long time (I think it got lost in just the last few years, probably when my family moved to Guatemala). For some reason I really liked that little bunny and HAD to have it, and was very upset when my Mom said "no," but she bought it when I wasn't looking. Imagine my surprise and delight when I woke up the next morning :)
My daughter has been getting a gold dollar from the toothfairy. She loves it! I have thought about a toothbrush....but from the sounds of it I should be investing in Boy repellant! She has like 5 loose teeth!....LOL.
My kids get a quarter 'cause I'm cheap. Brayden collects the state quarters, so we try to get one that he doesn't already have, to add to his collection.
My neighbor's little girl just got six quarters. I told her not to let her daughter talk to my kids :o)
I got a couple of dollars when I was a kid... and we were so excited that KayBree started loosing teeth that we kind of over did it and gave her five bucks... ya, I know were going to be wishin we hadn't started this, but what can you do when your first kid is getting so dang big?!?!? :)
I usually got 2 quarters. I think I got a dollar for my first tooth though.
I thought the boy kissing would be about Andrew and kissing tag - lol! I guess you better watch out for him too. :)
Hi Sandra, I found you through Trina's blog. I remember getting anywhere from fifty cents to a dollar. My kids get a dollar for any tooth that had a cavity or the dentist had to fix, and two dollars for any perfect tooth. That means no cavities, that encourages them to brush and floss. My sister came up with the idea, and I really liked it.
We still haven't lost any teeth in our house, so I have no idea how much a tooth fairy should leave. We used to get 25 cents, but you have to factor in INFLATION!! :)
When Andrew lost his first teeth last fall has was telling the neighbors about it and two separate neighbors told him they got two dollars. So what am I going to do??? Give him the dollar I wanted to and let him think the tooth fairy values his teeth less? I don't think so! Two dollars it was...what did you end up doing?
We figure she's still so young she doesn't care what she gets. But change is always fun so we ended up giving her two quarters, a nickle, a penny and a dime. Jessica, I like the idea of giving more for teeth that haven't had cavities!
I can't wait for Twilight movie to come out... I am glad to hear about the change. We will have to get a group to go watch it, if your not in labor that is! I have never heard that about kissing boys. It is cute and I will have to pass it around whenever I see a little girl with missing teeth. Joseph and I got each got a dollar (or so we can remember) for each of our teeth. I dollar does not go as far as it used to though.
