Yaa for a girly room

I finally got Danika's room painted on Saturday, I guess I can say the "girls" room. Kevin had to work so I'm proud to say I did it all by myself. We kept the ceiling how it was (sky blue looking) and this is how it turned out.

I used huge dot stickers to make flowers. These stickers are awesome, they are so easy to apply and can be removed and stuck other places multiple times before they loose their stickiness. Now the boys want their room done. Luke likes green and Andrew likes Blue. Not sure what I'll do with that but if any of you have ideas I would love to hear them. I'm not creative when it comes to this stuff. I hope you all have a great week! I'm excited to put Halloween Decorations up this week :)

Oooh! I didn't realize you were having a girl! Congratulations!! I think the room turned out so cute :) I love to decorate, so I've always got ideas running around in my head. Before Simon was born I wanted to do a bug theme 'cause I found this cute quote: "Bugs: small living things that small living boys throw on small living girls."

I could never find anything that would work so I gave up. But...Stampin' Up just came out with Decor Elements - it's just like the vinyl that everyone is putting on their walls. Anyway, they have some really cute bugs that come in a turquoise and green. Maybe that would work. They're $29.95 for a set so it's not too expensive.

Love it! It would have been exactly what I would have wanted as a little girl. Great job!

P.S. Last time I was talking about your hubby being a stinker!! I am still laughing.

When my boys were young, I bought some fabric at Walmart that had either cool bright cars or dinasaurs on it. Then I would come home and cut out the shape and take liquid starch to paste them to the walls. It was really easy, cheap and fun. There is nor troupble taking them down. All you have to do is peel them off and wipe where they were.

When I was little, my Dad and my Grandma told me that, "Blue and Green should never be seen." Of course they meant, together. However, I have come to LOVE blue and green together.

My boys' cowboy room has dark, muted versions of red, blue, green, and yellow.

Go out and find a piece of fabric with blue and green that you like, and go from there with paint colors or whatever.

My girls would love the sticker idea. I might look into those.

Did you see my boys' room? I was really nervouse about it, but it turned out great and it was so easy! We used a light sage green color (don't remember the real name, but it's not a toothpaste green) and then taped off some Charlie Brown type zig zags across the room in a light blue. It only took 30 minutes to do the zig zag.

If my camera would take good pictures indoors I'd send you one, but you're welcome to look at it anytime.

Uh...nice touch leaving the 'car' bed out of the pic.
