When we bought our house six years ago, I had started to take down the wallpaper in Danika's room. I don't know what they used to put it on but it was like super glue!!! I got one wall done and was so discouraged I had stopped. Well, as we finished the basement Kevin told me to wait on finishing taking down the wallpaper till we got that done. (One project at a time) So since the rest of the house is finished and painted it was time to start on the top floor's three bedrooms. It took me ALL day Saturday to take it down. Let me just tell you my feet hurt from being on a ladder all day. I don't want to see another horsey wallpaper EVER AGAIN!!!
On a happy note, I can now focus on how to paint it. I want to get it done before the baby is born. That's where you guys come in....have any fun ideas. Ideas that are easy! We will be doing the boys and girls room so any ideas would be great. It's strange to say Girl(s).

I often feel as if I'm moving in slow motion. But there is so much to get
done in a full day. For me, one day ends up feeling like three separate
days. Gon...

Glad to hear that you got it all done! Yay!! ...and fun that you get to say "girls"
I don't really have any good painting ideas though... Pink? Haha.. sorry.
I love Murals in children's rooms and I saw some cute, easier ideas on the net. They used wall stickers for the more detailed parts. It was cute.
Google: children murals, and see if you can find some fun ideas!
Reading this post brought back terrible memories of taking down the ABC bunny wallpaper border in my boys' room. My friend told me to spray it with watered down liquid fabric softener and it worked pretty well. It took me about 3 hours to do three walls.
My favorite place to look for idea's is Pottery Barn kids. You can google it, and look at the rooms. Everything is way too expensive to buy, but they have some fun color combinations, and storage idea's, so I look at it and then try to do similar things myself.
congratulation! Lot's of fun colors and murals!!!
I hate wall paper, unless it is just a little boarder at the top of the wall. For my boys room I just decided to paint two walls baby blue and two walls brown. The window wall will be baby blue so I can put up brown curtains. just an idea.
I am way excited for you that you FINALLY get another girl! Maybe there is hope for us yet!:)
Way to go on getting the wallpaper down, I despise wallpaper!
As far as painting ideas, I am terrible at getting that kind of thing done. I bet there are a lot of great ideas online though! I would say find bedding you really like or if you like what they already have and work on colors from that. I really want to paint Emma's room light lime green with white molding. Happy painting!
I can not believe you are still so active in your pregnancy! That is amazing! I have preterm labor issues and have spent waaayyyy too much time on bedrest!
I have lots of decorating ideas, but typing them would take forever. I have my older boys's room done in transportation. They've got transportation bedding, window coverings, wall hangings, etc.. I was going to paint the top half or their room a mustard yellow, the bottom half a barn red, and have the middle painted white with moulding as a border on top and on the bottom. In the border I was going to paint a road with cars, trucks, busses, etc...
Yeah, I didn't have time to do that when we moved in. Then I had eight months of bedrest with my last baby. Now I don't know what my excuse is, but I still haven't done it!
My two youngest have their room done in a jungle theme. They've got jungle quilts, wall hangings, etc. The walls are painted pastel yellow with white trim. All their furniture is white, as are the picture frames.
I have no advice on a girl's room! This ended up being a super long comment anyway! Sorry!
How funny!!!! I remember when you started taking down the wall paper...a while ago. And I did remember it had horses.
Girls rooms are the best.(I am not biased as a mom of 3). I think classic is best. Something pretty that they will like as they grow. I have done that with my girls rooms and it makes it easier when you change things around. Think soft.
