WOO HOO

Thanks for all the advice on the last post. Attaching the binky to the balloon idea sounds fun, thanks for sharing Kristy! It seems like everyone waits till around two, so I'll just continue to keep it in his bed till then. I wanted to share this because I'm so excited. Yep, a tomato. Doesn't that make you excited? Well I am since it's the first one from our garden. Tomatoes are my favorite. I grew up on tomato sandwiches. Where you take two toasted pieces of bread, add some mayo and the tomatoes and ummmmmm heaven he he. Eating them reminds me of growing up back home. Is there something that when you eat it, it brings back a certain memory?

LOL! When I saw the picture my first thought was that you were excited that the FDA lifted the warning on tomatoes. Hehe.
I'm jealous that you already have a ripe one. Mine are still pretty small and green :(

Yay for the tomatoes! I have to say I've never eaten a tomato sandwich. I remember eating my moms yummy crepes with her canned pears (soooo good) with cottage cheese. I still love pears and cottage cheese, but it just isn't the same now because I was spoiled on my mom's pears and the store ones are usually crunchy and never as sweet. :) Anything out of the garden reminds me of growing up... we had corn, carrots, green beans and raspberries all the time. We would also go to Perry and get fresh Peaches.... mmmmm.

I'm so jealous of your tomato I'm about to drive 5 hours away to stalk your garden...:o)

I'm just barely getting a few flowers on my tomatoes. We're 4-6 weeks behind the rest of the state because we live at such a high altitude that it doesn't stop freezing until mid-June. Then, just when everything in the garden is starts to ripen, it starts freezing again, so we have to cover everything with sheets every night.

I love your tomato! It is so pretty! We still haven't gotten any from our garden. We've gotten tons of radishes, lettuce and peas though.

You know those little pink and white frosted animal crackers with the sprinkles on them? Those always remind me of my Great Grandma. She'd have those in a cookie jar for her great-grandkids. We lived close by, so we'd stop in all the time for a cookie. I wonder if Becky remembers that?!

Oh, and yes we had that Early Development class together. I think we mostly knew eachother through Kevin since we were in the Institute presidency together. But, I remember talking about wedding plans with you in the class we had together. You also taught RS one Sunday and you were so excited to show us your new scriptures with "Sandra Westwood" engraved on them...and you weren't even married yet!

Wow! Sorry for the long comment!

Oh yummy! A tomato sandwich sounds so good and it's only 10:30! I really wish I had room to plant a vegetable garden, but I have big plans for my backyard so maybe I'll be able to squeeze in a small one next year! By the way, that's pretty good to already have a nice red tomato! You must have some great gardening skills :)

Love tomatoes!!
I had a race with my neighbor to see who would have the first red tomatoe. I bought a bunch early spring and had them ready to go outside asap. Then I was at Costco and saw 4 Huge Tomato plants(with little green tomatoes on them) for 7 bucks or so. I couldn't resist. I hid the plants from my neighbor and cheered them on. The 26 of June I had 3 ripe tomatoes!!!! I brought her over and had "hail to the chief" playing in the background. I won her by a landslide. A little cheap trick, yes...but there were no rules against it. An official war has been started and I am in for year of perfecting the tomato growing process.
